Prowords
'Prowords' are one word or short phrase signals that are
used to convey specific information or instructions with a minimum
of air time and maximum clarity.
ROGER
I have received and
understood your last transmission satisfactorily.
OVER
This is the end of my
transmission and I am waiting for your reply or
acknowledgment.
OUT
This is the end of my
transmission and no reply is needed.
THIS IS
Identifies the
transmitting station.
FROM
Identifies the
originator of the message.
TO
Identifies the
addressee of the message.
INFO
The following
addressees are to receive copies of the message for information only
and are not expected to respond.
WAIT
I must pause for a few
seconds, I will continue without a callup.
WAIT OUT
I must pause for a few
seconds. Other stations on the net may use the frequecy. I will call
when I am ready to resume.
UNKNOWN STATION
Call back to a
station whose call sign was not heard clearly or it's identity is
unknown.
MESSAGE
I have a message for
your station which is to be copied and forwarded to the addressee of
the message.
SEND YOUR MESSAGE
I am ready to copy
your message.
SAY AGAIN
Please repeat your
last transmission, or that part identified by:

A separation between
parts of a transmission. Continuation of transmission will resume
immediately without recall.
CIRCUIT MERIT ZERO
No signal heard
CIRCUIT MERIT ONE
Signal heard but is
not understandable.
CIRCUIT MERIT TWO
Heavy noise or static
on the signal. Parts must be repeated.
CIRCUIT MERIT THREE
The signal is weak
with some noise, but it is acceptable.
CIRCUIT MERIT FOUR
Reception is clear but
weak, and it is acceptable.
CIRCUIT MERIT FIVE
Reception is loud and
clear with no noise or interference
